Expanding on Nike’s existing campaign themes, we leveraged our editorial expertise and creator network to produce content through AMAKA’s tone of voice, working with influencers and writers from the UK, South Africa, the US and Cameroon to develop English and French content that resonated with EMEA audiences.

Wavemaker Case Study

The Brief
In December 2023, Wavemaker launched the UnWrapped campaign, seeking AMAKA's assistance to engage Pan-African creators for short-form videos advising brands on influencer collaboration and predicting impactful trends for 2024.
The Execution
AMAKA commissioned Awa Sanneh, a Houston-based 23-year-old college student and full-time influencer with over 470,000 followers, known for promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion. Sanneh shared beauty and fashion trends for the Unwrapped campaign, offering insights for brands tapping into emerging fashion trends.
The Campaign
Commissioned creators were trusted to provide authentic opinions and unique content styles, aiding Wavemaker's global brand clients in effective collaboration with influencers.
The results
The one-minute vertical videos for mobile achieved wide distribution, garnering attention on Wavemaker Global's LinkedIn (270k+ followers) and Instagram (5,700+ followers). Additionally, the content reached over 9,000 clients and decision-makers through email promotion, including influential figures from major brands like Mondelez, Netflix, Danone, Tiffany, Church and Dwight, and L’Oréal.

AMAKA, in partnership with Access Bank, celebrated its second anniversary and launch of the second AMAKA-Zine. The 2023 AMAKA-Zine theme was Africa’s Film & Performance Industry. We explored the social, cultural and historical insights surrounding the African film and TV industry, with Sheila Atim from The Woman King as our featured cover star.

To celebrate the Action! Issue, we hosted our first ever event in Lagos.
